Isaiah 50:11
“Behold, all ye that kindle a fire,
that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your
fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine
hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.”
Compare Isaiah 50:11 with Luke 12:15-21 below
“And
he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s
life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
But
God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of
thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
True life experience: Ecclesiastes 1:14; 2:11,15
“I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.”
Ecclesiastes 2:11
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the
labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and
vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 2:15
Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth
even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that
this also is vanity.
Advice; Proverbs 10:2
“Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.”
