Luke 12:5
But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
When a brethren preaches to you and at that time the SPIRIT of GOD ministers to your soul, a kind of fear will grip you and you'll instantly start to recollect all your evil deeds...... the agony of it all will make you hate sin so bad you'll cry out for deliverance, never wanting to do such AGAIN. (though you may still fall time and time again but you will always get up and run to Christ, genuinely asking Him to help you overcome that weakness), THAT "kind of fear" IS THE FEAR OF GOD (the kind Joseph had which made him flee from the appearance of sin (in the form of Potiphar's wife) - Gen 39:7-9). Don't mix it up!

Open letter to the called and gifted.
Matthew 7
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I was reading through Matt 7 and when I got to verse 15 down to 23,something struck me. Everyone listed in vs 22 had either the gift or were called and then I remembered the parable of the talents (Matt 25:24-30). Hmm…. to whom much is given, much is sure expected (James 3:1)
Remember the life of Moses(called and gifted) as narrated in the scriptures, who received a greater judgement than the Israelite (who were always erring and rebelling), missing the promised land due to an error he made.
All the “called and gifted” should please look into the lives of people like Samson, Moses, Eli, Saul, Judas, etc, and learn great lessons from them because most of these ones erred but still continued using the gifts given them by GOD (NOT knowing they’ve gone out of The Way), also working in their “calling” because the gifts and calling are without repentance (Rom 11:29).
Those Christ talked about in Matt 7:22 still thought they were on the right path because they could still access the DIVINE not knowing they’ve missed it along the way.
Little wonder Jesus Christ always warns us to always “take heed” → BE AWARE (Luke 11:35, 1 Corinth 10:12, Luke 21:34, Matt 13:33)
Be SOBER, be VIGILANT (1Peter 5:8), that’s the WORD for these last days, brethren. If satan could enter into Peter (and even Judas) then while being a disciple under Jesus (Matt 16:23) <and even after all Peter’s boasting that he won’t deny Christ> Luke 22:31-34, 59-60, he’ll definitely use some too now who aren’t watchful and vigilant enough (just like he did Judas) because he’s very cunning at disguising evil for good and good for evil which is why the scripture warns us to “try every spirit….” (1 John 4:1)
1 Corinthians 3:5-15
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Did you also note what Paul said in verse 5?? “…..but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?” which simply means that EVERY BELIEVER ought to function as “ministers”! EVERY BELIEVER IS “CALLED AND GIFTED” (1 Peter 2:6-9) and those still not functioning as such will account just like the “one talent” man in Matt 25:24-30.
A word is enough for the wise!

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS...
James 2:14, 20
“What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him?
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
Thank You, Holy Spirit.
Having studied Chemical and Polymer Engineering in a University where there are other arms of engineering such as the Mechanical and Electrical/Computer, I know that having only the theoretical knowledge of these courses without backing it up with a practical knowledge only makes them of no effect; literally useless.
What gives more sense to the theorems being taught in the lecture hall is its practice in the laboratories. James 2:18
“Theory” is a substance; its practice brings it to life.
“Faith” is a substance; its practice (workings) brings it to life. Little wonder James said in James 2:17 that “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
“Faith” in this context can be likened to “theorems” while “Work” can be likened to “practical”.
Friends, if you have not been working out your Faith (practicing your theorems), I’ll advise you start doing so now.
Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”
Don’t be asking GOD to help you without you wanting to be helped. He is knocking on the door of your heart, are you opening that door for Him to come in? Or are you sitting there waiting for Him to barge in (thinking, “He is GOD He knows His way in, I don’t have to open before He enters”).
“Communication” (Prayer) is a two-way thing, you’ll agree with me. I don’t see why you can’t open the door for Jesus to enter when He is opening His door for you to enter → Matthew 7:7.
Your faith enabled you hear that knock; it’s now left to you to add the work of “opening the door for Him to come in” to your faith.
Still reveling in your addictions and earnestly waiting for His help? His help has already been given to you; all you need do now is make a conscious effort at conquering that addiction by total avoidance of it and stubbornly taking your stand not to indulge when the need pops up again and again. And then, you’ll experience everlasting victory because He will be with you all the way, helping you overcome. John 16:33, Hebrews 11:6.
Galatians 6
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Judging? or Correcting?
I’ve been having this thought for a while now and would love to share. It’s all about articles, preachings and talks on living right. We all have different views on that but I believe that as a “believer” we ought to conform to God’s way NOT the world’s way of “living right”.
It’s mostly saddening when our efforts to correct each other in the body of Christ is mostly seen/taken as “being judgmental.”
2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Nobody is perfect, not even the person passing on the message of “living right”. But if every prophets, pastors, men of God focus on their “imperfection” when GOD is using them to pass the WORD across, I don’t think we will all have the luxury of miracles, prophetic words, etc.
Exodus 3:10-12
“Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.”
Even Moses never saw himself as “perfect”. But did he allow that to derail Him from working for GOD?, even correcting the Israelite whenever they erred.
Please let’s always listen to and learn from scriptural messages given to us via fellow brethren; Study the “WORD” coming from the Preacher and NOT the Preacher!
2 Peter 2:18-22
“For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
I was sharing with a fellow brethren of recent that when listening to preachings from Men of God, I pick that which is edifying, discarding the rest after much deep study(with the help of the Holy Spirit).
If every believer can reason this way, the ratio of being influenced negatively by “supposed” Men of God will be very minute. What most people still don’t realize is that even the preacher learns from the message he is passing across.
1 John 4:1
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
One must be spiritually fit enough to be able to “test” spirits (discerning). Matt 16:3
Please let’s tune-in to the Spirit in us. He is speaking, most are not hearing because they’re tuned-in to the “world”. And for some, they’re yet to be a carrier of the Holy Spirit.
Please let’s pray for the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit and also pray for forgiveness in whatever way we might have erred and caused Him to vacate our “temple”
1 Corinthians 2:14
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
Let us individually, be watchful and vigilant of the devil’s devices. Let’s pray for that deep hunger for GOD that comes from within because it’s only then we can begin to see and do things God’s way and not man’s way.
Luke 6:39
“And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?”
You can only be led by the “blind” (non-Spirit led preachers) if you allow it (due to being “blind” yourself)
Matthew 15:14
Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
Don’t forget; Our ability to “see” (not to be “blind”) depends on our daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

The Living WORD.
There are times we feel so alone, wearied by people’s reaction to
what we stand for “the Truth”. These are the times when those who ought
to be ‘friends’ casts the first stone (and several more other stones) at
us, Just like the Pharisees did to Jesus.
The Holy Spirit’s work is to comfort us and teach us, enabling us know better. But it is so sad that just the same way the Pharisees held on to the law they had, ignoring “change” when Jesus came then, so is same way the believers now hold on to the Bible, reading it with their understanding; not wanting to learn, to know the hidden mysteries of the WORD which can only be accessed via the Holy Spirit.
Isaiah 48:6
“Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.”
1 Corinthians 4:1
“Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.”
Matthew 13:11
“He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
Revelation 2:17
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.”
The letters in the Bible are just simply that – letters. The Holy Spirit is the one that gives life to those letters, turning it into a “Living Word(Jesus)”. At this stage, we become a carrier of not just ‘mere letters’ but ‘Living Word – Jesus’.
2 Corinthians 3:6
“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
It is only when the letters we have digested is being ignited and turned to a Living Word via the Holy Spirit, that we can truly and boldly say “I am a Christian(Christ-like), a carrier of Jesus (the Living Word).
Shalom!

Still Married? or Divorced..
Ephesians 5:23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."
Just as Marriage between couples doesn’t end on the day of the wedding but is a continuous process – till death; So is being a ‘convert’ in Christendom doesn’t end on the day of salvation(when we give our lives to God) but it’s a continuous process also – till death unite us with God.
Most couples who lack the understanding of being Married – joined as one, rush into it and still fail to understand & make amends even when in it, opting for divorce and separation. Most of these couples already have a “polluted” orientation about marriage even before entering into it which aids divorce and separation.
Ephesians 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Ephesians 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
The continuous negative actions of one of both parties in the Marriage lead to divorce oft times i.e, serving two masters at a time (adultery). This is caused by either having a lackaidasical attitude, OR taking for granted, the deep love of the spouse.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
…This is just the same way most believers get divorced or separated from their first love ‘Jesus’ (getting out from under the ‘covering’) and the devil is having a field-day, disciplining them.
Rev 2:4
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Right or Wrong?
He said to me “why didn’t you ask me all those questions when I told you to go get the water?” and since then, anytime he wants to send me, He goes through my boss but for others, he sends them directly. Was what I did wrong?
P.S: That’s actually not the first or second time I did that, It’s something I do often because I believe he is one very strict man (which I later got to find out he isn’t). Guess it got to him that day because he is actually caring to a fault (of which I know).
.
.
This is just same way it happens with GOD and He can’t interact directly with most believers, because anytime He speaks to them, they run to meet the Pastor for confirmation. They have still not learnt the art of “Independence with GOD”. It looks demeaning kinda, doesn’t it? A WHOLE GOD speaking to you, and you going to meet MAN(no matter the anointing, GOD placed it there, if He removes it, we’re just mere men) for confirmation. Hmmm….God bless us with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Some believers hear from God and run to their spiritual father for confirmation. Who is supposed to be your ‘spiritual father’? Man or the Holy Spirit? (Ephesians 3:16, 1 Corinth 3:21 – Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;)
Even Samuel was taught independence then when he was told to go back and listen to God speak after running thrice to meet his “spiritual father”(Eli) after he heard a voice call him.(1 Samuel 3:1-18)
Just like Eli did here, the Pastors, Prophets, etc should help their wards/fellow brethren to learn independence with God by sending them back to meet Him and listen carefully. They should be able to make their mistakes and learn from it to get stronger.
The only thing you need do is give advice (just like Eli did to Samuel) because you were once in their shoes.
When a baby starts learning how to walk, he falls and gets up to try another step, then falls again and rights himself until he is able.
The only thing the mother/father does is hold him by the hands at times as a support to enable the child take more steps.
She/He doesn’t cuddle/carry the baby when he takes his first steps and fall, thinking “I don’t want you to fall down so I’ll carry you all the days of your life because I know how painful falling down could be, I’ve been there before”. Which is what most “spiritual fathers” do to their “spiritual sons & daughters”.
If Eli had done this to Samuel, he wouldn’t have gotten that message from God concerning his own family.(nobody is perfect)
Take Heed!
It’s funny that most of us have sang this Don Moen song “I’ve made You too small in my eyes, Oh Lord please forgive me….” and are still making Him too small in our eyes. He talks to us but we don’t hear due to all the ‘strict’ definitions of Him we have in our head, due to how cunningly the devil is defining HIM to us as a ‘strict’, ‘don’t touch’, ‘not sensitive’ Being.
He speaks to most ‘Believers’(not ‘Unbelievers’) but we are still behaving like the Isrealites during the days of Moses (Exodus 19:9, 20:19-20) and it hurts HIM because He believes that after the coming of Jesus here on Earth, we all should know better now.
GOD help us to draw closer and really listen.
P.S: When you tell a child not to go near the fire; the first time, second time, third time and the child keeps moving towards the fire, you are forced to shout at the child to stop which gets to the child faster because he’s hearing you speak in a new way which you’ve never did with him/her before. Does your shouting (harshness) mean you don’t love the child?
Luke 11:13
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
Shalom!
